A PASSION FOR RESEARCH - WE'RE BACK ON AIR - FUNDS DONATED AND COLLECTED
239,500 euros is the total amount raised by Il Gusto per la Ricerca at its 20th edition, hosted on November 9th in Sarnico, on Lake Iseo, at the evocative Riva shipyards, the historic brand part of Ferretti Group.
The sum collected during the twentieth edition brings the total raised and entirely donated to 2,560,144.59 euros.
The lunch was prepared by 11 chef friends, some of whom had already supported the non-profit organization's cause in previous editions: Massimiliano Alajmo – Le Calandre, Enrico Bartolini – Mudec, Antonino Cannavacciuolo – Villa Crespi, Fratelli Cerea – Da Vittorio, Carlo Cracco – Ristorante Cracco, Philippe Léveillé – Miramonti l’Altro, Fabrizio Mellino – Quattro Passi, Riccardo Monco – Enoteca Pinchiorri, Norbert Niederkofler – Atelier Moessmer, Giancarlo Perbellini – Casa Perbellini 12 Apostoli, Fulvio Pierangelini – Rocco Forte Hotels.
Thanks to the participation of important wineries and other partners, it was possible to hold an auction, led by journalists Davide Paolini and Fabrizio Nonis, the result of which increased the event's proceeds.
All the people involved in the organization worked at their own expense, without any reimbursement, making it possible to reach this sum, which will be divided among this year's four beneficiaries:
- 121,500 euros to La Miglior Vita Possibile – Padua. An association committed to building the New Center for Pediatric Palliative Care and Pain Therapy – Pediatric Hospice of Veneto.
- 18,000 euros to La bambina e la medusa Rosa. A musical book conceived by the Asclepio Orchestra – an ensemble entirely composed of doctor-musicians – and by the singer-songwriter Lorenzo Tozzi. A special project that involves reading sessions and live music for children and their families within pediatric onco-hematology departments in Italy.
- 50,000 euros to La Zebra odv - Brescia. An association that has supported diagnostic imaging in pediatrics for many years by supporting the Pediatric Radiology Service at the Children's Hospital in Brescia.
- 50,000 euros to Associazione di volontariato Angeli - Cellatica (BS). The association has created a real home where fragile people can find support and serenity for varying periods — from a few months to several years. Within the structure, a family environment is offered, constantly overseen by qualified educators and professionals, who accompany guests on a path of growth and autonomy.
